MCN provides services to children, adolescents (3-18), and their families dealing with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. Individualized treatment plans are developed through a comprehensive intake and assessment process. We can help families and youth experiencing issues related to:
Youth receiving outpatient services create partnerships with their therapist in an office-based setting. Frequency of sessions is determined after the intake and assessment process. Therapists at MCN are trained in models using Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), family interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and group therapy. Goals for MCN's youth outpatient services are to support youth in learning coping skills, gaining emotional regulation, and developing appropriate relationships. Families of youth are encouraged to participate in all services.
For many, in-home services are provided in multiple sessions throughout the week and often involve the family. Techniques used include intense family interventions, systemic and structural family approaches, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, behavioral modification, and trauma focused therapy. Level of care is determined during the comprehensive assessment.
In some cases, children are identified to be best treated when the entire family participates. Each family is unique and treated with the most efficient and least invasive methods. This often involves the parent/s getting connected to a therapist too. Evidenced based techniques include CBT, ESFT, PCIT, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR.
Case management services are provided as needed. MCN clinicians will connect with care partners including: doctors, educators, community partners, and natural supports to implement the most effective treatment.
