MCN as Community Collaborators

Therapists and treatment team members are sometimes asked to appear in court or testify on behalf of a client. MCN requires these requests to be made in advanced and an invoice to be paid ahead of the court date. MCN Staff will not appear in court without a prior formal request and paid invoice to the agency. As a reminder, clinicians are not able to share details of sessions but can provide basic info such as participation rates, diagnoses and overall progress. Clinicians can also write a clinical report with these details, instead of appearing in court for a reduced fee.  

All records requests must be directed through this website. Requests can take up to 30 days so please allow for plenty of time to receive requests. In addition, there is a fee for the records (up to 50 center per page). As a reminder, it is against MCN policy to share individual session notes. Under no circumstances will MCN share the detailed notes taken during the private time with their therapist. However, with appropriate releases of information, MCN will share all other documents including treatment plans, diagnostic evaluations, clinical letters and assessments.
