EMDR is a simple but efficient therapy using bilateral stimulation (BLS) ─ tapping,
auditory tones or eye movements ─ to accelerate the brain capacity to process and heal a troubling memory.
What can EMDR be used for?
In addition to its use for the treatment of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, EMDR has been successfully used to treat:
anxiety and panic attacks
pain relief, phantom limb pain
self-esteem and performance anxiety
EMDR Therapists must have a master's degree and be trained and supervised for over a period of multiple years by a certified trainer. Certified EMDR Therapists must be fully licensed.
MCN has multiple EMDR therapists available to help!
