Payton Hannah
Payton is a WV native from Charleston. She earned her bachelors from WVU and her masters in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. She gained experience working with children and adolescents with ASD for 4 years at a local ABA clinic. Her ABA background has allowed her to implement interventions to improve social skills, positive communication, emotional regulation, and academic success for her clients. Payton is a leader at MCN and her knowledge and experience in ASD impact our community greatly.
MCN's Autism Services
Autism services are provided by therapists that specialize in Autism Spectrum Disorder and are trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as well as Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Some autism services are covered by insurance depending on your unique coverage and person centered treatment plan. To get connected to autism services, make a referral today.
ABA Services
Applied Behavior Analysis is considered an evidence-based best practice treatment by the US Surgeon General and by the American Psychological Association. ABA therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning.

Autism Assessments
Comprehensive Autism Evaluations are available for youth and adults to determine if an individual meets criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder. The evaluation will include a set of tests, observations, and data collection across several hours and/or days. The trained, clinician watches how the child or adult plays, works, behaves, engages with others, and communicates. These tests include specific tasks, assessments and interviews with collateral contacts.
LAMP
Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) is a therapeutic approach based on neurological and motor learning principles. The goal is to give individuals who are nonverbal or have limited verbal abilities a method of independently and spontaneously expressing themselves in any setting. LAMP training and device acquisition is available at MCN to parents, teachers and caregivers!
